The
Infinitec Durable Medical Equipment Exchange aims to
recycle still-useful medical equipment. The equipment is transferred
from people who no longer need it or whose needs have
changed to people who need special equipment on either
a permanent or temporary basis. Through its Web site, the exchange
serves children and adults with disabilities, their families, and
their professional care-givers and service-providers.
All
Learners Newsgroup focuses on including students with
disabilities in our schools and communities. It is a forum for teachers,
education administrators, parents/guardians, students, therapists,
school paraprofessionals, and college/university faculty who wish
to share their inclusion-related experiences, knowledge, strategies,
resources and beliefs. Through this newsgroup, people exchange ideas,
ask questions and, together, create effective strategies for providing
inclusive opportunities for students with diverse learning needs.
Infinitec Inc.'s site, launched in October 1997, has been
visited over one million times. The site has welcomed people from
all over the U.S. and 68 other nations. The site provides information
about choosing, obtaining, and using assistive technology. It empowers
people with disabilities and others to seek and find more relevant
information, to make independent decisions, and to take action.
Infinitec
Coalition Connection allows partners in the various Infinitec
coalitions to access the equipment loan center, on-line video training,
member information, a software library, assistive technology Web
links, group purchase opportunities, a training calendar, and more.
